Predatory Bluehost and Sitelock Collaboration Messages

;

$content = [

It’s unfortunate that I have to make this post, but I was given the equivalent to a “shakedown” by both Bluehost and Sitelock today (26MAR26).

A minor post containing too few characters for their liking got flagged – except it was me uploading one of my posts to archive.org and putting the links in a concise spot for ease of reading.

This resulted in a pretend security consultant using a supported Bluehost email address to then try to shake me down for almost $400 USD for “protection” from “malware”.

This is ridiculous. It wasn’t even malware. How is Bluehost allowing this predatory behavior?

Consequently, I shifted hosting providers and don’t plan on ever returning to Bluehost. I don’t know that it isn’t happening on other sites, but Bluehost is the only one that’s let them try to shake me down so far.

Shame!
