- Clear the area of the working
- Petition Madame Pele to come to your ritual space
- “Madame Pele, please come, that I may ask for your assistance.”
- “Madame Pele, please come into my ritual space” (Repeat as desired).
- When you feel her presence or hear a whisper that she is in your ritual space:
- If you have an offering for her (not connected to paying for the working), present it to her at this time.
- State the situation and the justification for having her intervene on your behalf.
- State what you feel is an appropriate response. This shouldn’t be so restrictive that only a few actions will be “acceptable” to you, similar to “I ask that X feel twice the loss and sadness I felt” You can ask for a specific outcome, but be aware that it may take longer to perform and may also increase the “cost” of the working. This is also where you should present any conditions you feel wouldn’t be appropriate, such as not harming others surrounding the target (children, pets, if it matters).
- State the proposed payment for this working. This may be a single payment or periodic payments for prolonged workings.
- Verify that the payment is acceptable for the desired effect.
- If Madame Pele has accepted both the task and the payment, if the payment is blood or something to be done immediately, perform this action.
- Whether she has accepted the task and proposed payment(s) or not, it is advisable to thank her for coming and close the ritual.
- “Madame Pele, thank you for coming. Please go in peace.”
- Close the ritual.
