For 2+ years, I have been doing the Golden Light practice daily. I’ve learned to incorporate some of my other cultivation practices around it, as it has a collection, purification, and protection focus in my practice. It became a mainstay daily practice in Maryland and continued when I returned to Hawaii over the past year. Daily? Not exactly. But appropriate days, typically 5-6 a week. 7 wasn’t uncommon. In the written material, the author recommends it 3-4 times a week for serious study and more frequently in private material for cultivation.
Collection, Purification, and Protection would sum up those experiences nicely, even if it is typically “marketed” as a cultivation ritual or practice with the rest not added in. Which is fair. Not everyone will experience all of the facets, the practice changes over time, and direction can be obtained from the entities overseeing it at any time. This happened many times and while I was still pursuing the Maoshan, I relayed several experiences that led to an understanding that other, typically more advanced students got that. Not surprising, since a lot of people pick this up without a lot of experience in ritual, actual entity and energy work (beyond petitions), etc… I am 100% NOT an advanced Maoshan student.
And after today, I won’t be doing the Golden Light cultivation until told to by those entities I have used with it thus far. They have guided my thus far and today I got unequivocal direction to hold off on it when I began the process at work as I had so many times before. I was confused, unsure, and doubting the experiences/interactions, while also knowing it was legit and there were reasons for it. But no one was letting the reason be known. A substantial number of the entities from that pantheon came or had known representatives come as reassurance. It’s easy to feel something has been done wrong when one gets cut off from a diligent practice one has developed and done faithfully.
Instead, Kali showed up. Or an aspect of her, whichever makes those prickly sorts feel more self-assured. Literally nothing else.
I hope that there is incoming direction. I really enjoyed that practice and while I know I can continue it for specific things, like the directional methods I’ve not spoken of (directing the various facets of this energy I’ve been shown or found). But that personal cultivation orb is inaccessible. Unnecessary, supposedly, as is my cultivation of storm energy I had started experimenting with.
But change is as change is. And when it comes from entities at this level, sometimes one just has to take a back seat and wait. Until then, I will continue with my recitation of Om Kali Ma.
