Aiea Loop Trail – With a Sprinkle of Necromancy

May seem like an odd title, but it you’re spiritually inclined, have a knack for necromancy, and spirits will come to you for help, then you have all the necessary components to keep yourself quite busy across this little island. I suppose “little” applies. It’s about 28 by 30 miles and some days, it feels like you’re driving every bit of it to get from one side to the other.

We did Aiea Loop Trail again today (28JUL24). I came across a plaque I hadn’t noticed before. Essentially, 12 crew died when this plane collided with the mountain range I was now hiking.

Once I saw this, I immediately opened up a gate for Hel (Norse Hel, not Christian Hell, just in case someone reading this doesn’t know) and sent a beacon out. I then opened another, this one for Hecate. I sent another call for any willing angels and felt one in the area. I take my “responsibilities” seriously. I did the first time around when in Hawaii. I did while gone and still do now. It’s not uncommon to find other spirits wanting to use these gates, even if they weren’t the ones you called them for. This also happens in Pearl Harbor. Places of Death don’t just attract those caught up in those moments that made them infamous.

I was not a necromancer or Occultist when I last saw this sign in late 2018. Sure, I had seen the dead and had fumbled my way through some things here and there, but I was not prepared and didn’t have the skills I would later start developing more fully just months after this.

I was also not expecting to see this later one, which I didn’t see the first time I took this trail. Naturally, I had to descend.

This wasn’t safe, but I had to touch the plane, leave a connection for the spirits to follow, and then huff and puff my way up this steep ass, loose dirt hill.

I touched those pieces and felt that the crew wasn’t tied to it anymore (unwillingly). I made a link from the plane to my “graveyard” here at the house afterwards and one of the crew came. I only see someone in uniform, dress uniform, not working. He’s not stuck here and I don’t know if it’s one of the crew or someone looking out. He was monitoring and agreed to send them here if they need a place to rest safely.

It’s not a popular part of factual history, but Kamehameha won the islands after Cook lent him a cannon to put on his war canoe. Until that time, there had been bloodshed for the better part of the year, ANY year, on any island they could row/sail to, which is all of them. Hawaii is a hotspot for the dead, Places of Death, and similar. Pali Overlook is a perfect example. There wasn’t peace until Cook brought the cannons.

There have been times of death since then, like Pearl Harbor, a plane crew ay Maka Pu’u, and the Ko’olau range in Aiea. Those are just the ones I know of. There are plenty more.

One thing you may notice here is that the spirits will mistrust and simply leave at times. Once trust is gained, they will/may accept help. It isn’t personal. It isn’t just skin color. For the entire history of the Hawaiian islands, new boats and new people have brought misery, heartache, and death – regardless of one’s origins. Take it slow. The areas of Death here refill with “new” (old) souls from time to time. Couple that with mistrust and it can take a while.
