Maergzjirah – Calling of Infernal Spirits

As I stated in my Dedication entry, having my Maergzjiran name, I did the Calling of Infernal Spirits ritual around 1500 on 01SEP25. It is daylight and overcast. But there are always shadows whenever light is present, no?

I first asked Lady Nykarleth for formal admittance into the Tower of Umbra and was then shown a spirit to start with. I had specifically asked that the starting spirits be similar in signature to their descriptions to ease any mistrust I would likely have. I recognized this spirit immediately. I was then told to create a linking item to facilitate his coming and going, as well as accessing the energy of that Tower.

I contemplated whether or not I should do a separate ritual for the Tower of the Iron Throne, but Cernobog said to go ahead.

I then formally asked for admittance into the Tower of the Iron Throne. I was shown another initial entity to call upon. Since I thought I was going into the Tower of Pain, I was absolutely unfamiliar with who this was.

Both marked me in different places. Nykarleth’s was subtle. Cernobog sort of…left a mark…visually visceral, but obviously painless.

He then said I could use the same stone.

I started hunting for my raw obsidian I have, some of which are much larger than an inch. I let her select which piece. I then tried to find a suitably sharp edge and ran it roughly over the back of my hand. A few small droplets appeared, but I wasn’t pleased with that, yet didn’t want to break the stone just to chip off a sharper edge needed once. I ran it over the same spot again.

Nykarleth: “That (is/was) enough”. She was referring to the little droplets from the first go around.

I moved to the middle of the circle, knelt, and held it against the ground. Both blew into it to create the connection to their Towers. I was told it would strengthen over time and with use. Later, I realized this would also ease the admission of their energies into my space/life.

I closed the ritual after thanking them for coming. I then looked up the two entities in the Tome of Discipleship and believe I have found my mystery Lady. Guess we’ll see.

I do want to state that so far, these entities have seemed to be substantial, not just flimsy, single use creations made for simple fantasy. I have experience with Become a Living God’s Kingdoms of Fire and felt it was a mix. Some I got results from. Some I didn’t. Some felt substantial, some didn’t. Could’ve been me or my perceptions that day, but there aren’t many I would immediately turn to. But there were a few.

I plan on making the same observations here and being as honest as I can be about my experiences and perceptions of these entities.
