I hadn’t intended to perform the Dedication ritual last night. That should’ve been several weeks away, but Cernobog called and said it was time.
About dinner time, I was called to prep for ritual. I was pissed and unprepared. Took hours to prep. The moon water wasn’t ready, tools not anointed or dedicated. I called on Hecate and asked her to create the moon water for me.
I became really pissed off when my goblet, the Death Eater goblet from the Philadelphia Harry Potter exhibit fell and broke in two right before I was going to start ritual. Stem snapped in two. I was pissed off enough that I skipped the naming process for the altar and didn’t bother with the athame. I didn’t consecrate the altar as written, but it was already dedicated from the work and intent done earlier. It did get some of the water, blood, and ritual chalk on it. Good enough for now.
I didn’t have time to copy over the wording properly, so I read it from my device. The dedication was offered and accepted.
Once that was done, I did get back into the circle and request to know which Patron I should call upon. I was told Umbra mainly and a little of Pain. I nodded and then closed the ritual.
While I had recorded both the moon water and subsequent dedication ritual, I unwittingly wore a shirt that reflected heavily in the blacklights and the significant amounts of sweat from rushing to prep were too obvious. I will include pictures from the ritual, though. Water is pink because it is mixed with blood for the ritual water.
Later today, I will call upon Nykarleth, Lady of the Tower of Umbra and formally ask for acceptance into the Tower. Once I had realized this, I thought I should also do this with the Tower of Pain’s Lord, but was told this was more of a distant thing and more of a heavily working with at some point in time not too close. While writing down the ritual for calling to them, I was given a magical name by Nykarleth for use with this current. I did do some Google queries for it, but had no hits with it or Duck Duck Go.
Cernobog said that I should also ask admittance into his Tower, the Tower of the Iron Throne. He didn’t elaborate at that time.
