Magicians or Mice?

I was scrolling through Instagram the other day and saw yet another post about the stuff going on in Israel. The same people were bringing up the same outrage over what’s happening there. Calls for tearing down and burning a flag. The mob had decided what was acceptable to post and display and think. Quite ironic that witches were burnt at the stake partly to silence their voices and yet witches were now doing the same to others simply because the disagreed with their points of view. It was a disgusting display or the sheer hypocrisy that has replaced any sort of respectful discussions with disagreements.

Are the events going on there horrible? Absolutely. It’s heartbreaking and I can only hope it ends soon.

But there’s a difference between me and a lot of those pretend hard asses in that thread. I’ve picked up my wand several times over to do my part, instead of crying in public for attention and to feel validated by internet strangers.

Calling Hecate and Hel and asking them to help guide the dead that are lost and ned help? I’ve done it several times.

Calling on Asherah, Santa Muerte, Hi’iaka, and Epione to help comfort those that are suffering? I’ve done it several times.

Calling on Goetics and others to help reduce the will to fight with politicians? I’ve done it several times.

If I hadn’t been warned off of it, I would’ve opened my third campaign.

Sorry, but donating to unknown organizations and lamenting online just doesn’t seem like the same amount of effort as picking up a wand and entering the fray wherever appropriate. But apparently, drowning out dissenting opinions/voices and calling for violence against the same is somehow okay.

Put your magic where your mouth is.
