Been working on Pele’s Grimoire 2 for quite a while now. Gates, land spirits, Gods, and Goddesses. Healing the land and bringing the wider natural elements to the more restrictive correspondence crowd! Creating a Josephine McCarthy Hierophant-line with Pele’s blessing and cooperation. That line was founded during an eruption I was at.
But I kept running into a particular problem – the people reading it don’t have the energetic skills to use it. Which is a pretty important things to realize – and to remedy.
I’ve recently written a how-to, a graded primer if you will, for the skills that would rocket-charge Pele’s Grimoire 1, but are essential to Pele’s Grimoire 2. I’ve submitted it to a publisher and am waiting on a response. I will continue to do this until I find one. In this age of 100+ AI-written books per author era, I don’t want to go down the self-publishing route again and watch my material get flooded by sloppy drivel.
My relationships and experience with Pele, Hi’iaka, and Kamohoali’i continue. My relationship with Ku has also started. To be honest, there are some “growing pains” with the relationships, as I am a Westerner with Eastern Asian practice experience – but am racially gatekept out of some of the local practices. Some want a more traditional approach and this is something that I cannot give – even when it’s published. It is not the same and I am not here to grab their customs and try to fit them into a different framework.
To be clear, I’m speaking about Ku here and some of the others I’ve encountered – but not my established relationships with Pele, Kamohoali’i, or Hi’iaka. I’ve had contact with others, too, besides Ku. It’s clear that there hasn’t been a lot of Western contact that’s been positive. Sort of to be expected, but I’m also not the overly-apologetic type. My family didn’t harm this island. My extended family didn’t. Though I am sorry for the actions of others, those actions weren’t mine. This is some of what is being “worked through” in this sort of spiritual ‘marriage counseling’. I was more contacted than the initiator in all of these interactions. The same as with Pele many years ago.
So, the work continues, but is slower than anticipated. I had begun working on tutorials for the techniques for the book and some other books I have been working on periodically. This eventually led to needing to just write a training manual to level set the different efforts. I will still include techniques in PG2, but they will not be as comprehensive. Trying to find a truly energetic magic training manual that isn’t AI-slop or Vampire LARP horseshit is hard. So, I sent a submission to help fix that after writing a book based on techniques I’ve used and accessible to everyone.
I’ll post another update when there’s substantial progress in some area of the book to give an idea of where it is.
