I wasn’t sure if I was going to do a review after a week or not. But I’ve noticed enough smaller things – which may be bigger things to others – that I decided I would go ahead.
The largest change is that I have entities that I’ve noticed more frequently that are turning up. Not simple little parasites or “ankle biter” spirits. More complex, more powerful spirits. There are a few areas I’ve noticed them in more than others. This could mean different things, but I can say that the majority aren’t in my ritual space.
I mainly see them in the fringe areas to my ritual space when we’re speaking of outside the house. This make sense, as the gateways to several Towers (Umbra and the Iron Throne) are out here. But I rarely see them in my ritual space. Rather, they seem to be more interested in the area in the West, where I have put the two bird feeders that attract over a hundred birds daily. Not necessarily when the birds are there, but I see them when I’m outside at my workbench, which I am typing on right now, 6 feet from my main working altar. Why would I notice this specifically? Because my initial rituals, the ones with the blacklight photos, are on the Eastern area of this same porch. It’s an open area, too, to the current, but it’s not continuously open (I didn’t dictate this). It is interesting. I don’t notice them when I’m eating dinner with my family on the other side of the wall, so this seems related to the proximity of me in this area for some reason.
The other area, with the more complex spirits, is actually the elongated bedroom. There are floor-to-ceiling mirrors on a significant portion of this room and nearly the same right next to it. Usually, this means I get pissed off at the neighbors shining spotlights out of nowhere to, I don’t know, clean up dogshit or whatever. But there is a path that these spirits walk fairly consistently in this room.
They are watching over me.
I can see them at all time of the night. More than once, I have woken up and noticed them turning their attentions towards me. This has happened while completely awake, too, or I would put it off towards that weird place when waking up. When noticed, I can feel their attention turn towards me and a few times, I did ask them to move to another area so I could get back to sleep. This has happened nearly a half dozen times from sleep and a handful while still awake (speaking of the occurrences).
Do I know why they are protecting me? No. I know they are from the Maergzjirah current from their signatures, which are similar in a certain area. I’m not paranoid enough to think they are protecting me from something directly. And, as a former Infantryman, I appreciate as many willing eyes on watch as I can get.
Concerning the benefits/drawbacks of the anchor, I’m not quite sure. It’s only been a week. But I have found it easier to draw on the Command and Influence energies to layer them across the physically separated sites I’m working to influence here for work. I can feel the connections to those in the Iron Throne and Umbra involved with this working fairly quickly, but can’t say if it’s been more influential than it was prior to the pact. Being honest there. Given that we can only get promoted once a year through boards, I won’t really be able to use a Promotion as proof for more than six months. My level wasn’t eligible for it this year due to budget cuts and personnel reduction. But it could still result in lateral promotions and opportunities in the next 6 months or so. This influence campaign it more subtle than a flashy, meteoric approach that it doomed in this environment. Momentum is needed, but lasting is better than fading like a fart in a car. My work environment is often called the “Shark Tank” at how aggressive it can get when there’s blood in the water or a threat is evident. Let’s not trigger without clinching the advancement…
Finally, something seemingly mundane. My cats aren’t triggered. Sure, they’ve experienced a lot of various energies in the environments over the years, but none of these entities have triggered them in a way I’ve noticed. I’ve gone outside the room a few times to check up on them and they are typically doing what they do. While this may seem a bit silly to put into this “report”, it is notable, as it was my ask of the entities, of ALL entities, that they don’t disturb my cats (or my family) in a negative way. This hasn’t been a problem for the past week and I expect it likely won’t be. Why would this be important? Because any entity or group of them should be following the details of the respectful negotiation. The Maergzjirah entities have a mixed reputation from the outside looking in. I’ll be sure to let it be known if this courtesy isn’t adhered to.
